Women’s Empowerment Fund – applications invited

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has launched a call for applications for a ‘Women’s Empowerment Fund’.

The Fund amounts to £250k in total and runs from 2015/16 only. Voluntary and community groups whose primary objective is to work with women in the community are invited to apply for the funding. The fund is designed for local community engagement projects that empower women and increase their confidence to challenge abuse including child sexual abuse. They will allocate a maximum of £20k per project.

The deadline for applications is 31 March 2015.
